1. Data Collection
Lockus does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information on external servers. All data generated by your use of the app — including focus modes, schedules, usage records, and preferences — is stored exclusively on your device using Apple's local storage frameworks (SwiftData and UserDefaults).
2. Data Storage & Sync
If you enable iCloud sync, your data is stored in your private iCloud container using Apple's CloudKit framework. This data is encrypted and accessible only by you through your Apple ID. Lockus does not have access to your iCloud data.
3. Third-Party Services
Lockus does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. There are no SDKs from Google, Facebook, or any other analytics provider integrated into the app.
4. Apple Screen Time API
Lockus uses Apple's FamilyControls, ManagedSettings, and DeviceActivity frameworks to provide app blocking and usage monitoring. These frameworks operate entirely within Apple's ecosystem. Lockus receives only anonymized tokens — never the names or identifiers of your installed apps.
5. Location Data
If you enable location-based rules, Lockus uses Apple's CoreLocation framework for geofencing. Location data is processed on-device only and is never transmitted externally. You can revoke location access at any time in iOS Settings.
6. Children's Privacy
Lockus does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The app is available to all ages on the App Store as it does not collect any personal data.
